Add to the list of meta-tags “og:image” and (if not too much to ask) the other three below. See explanation below.
The OpenGraph protocol for social media is a facebook-initiated protocol for meta tags with fairly wide acceptance for posting pages to social media. It would be great if the most common meta tags could be included in the meta content. Properties especially sought would be (taken directly from the OpenGraph site):
- og:title - The title of your object as it should appear within the graph, e.g., "The Rock".
- og:type - The type of your object, e.g., "video.movie". Depending on the type you specify, other properties may also be required.
- og:image - An image URL which should represent your object within the graph.
- og:url - The canonical URL of your object that will be used as its permanent ID in the graph, e.g., "http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117500/".
At the very least og:image would be useful.

I should have checked in sooner. I didn't know this was done. I think it will be useful, thanks for adding them!
Hi, is it possible to also ad the author tag, or would that cause trouble? The author tag could be useful as well. Publisher wouldn't be bad either.
Done. Whitelisting system has been switched to regular expression check. All meta which match /[A-Za-z0-9:_\-\.]{4,32}/ will be valid.

Hi, I just noticed that meta tags aren't functioning properly. They just get stuck on meta name and the scroll down to the other options is not available. Thanks for adding the new stuff, btw.
Could you point to not working "meta tags" where exactly it occurs, while editing or somewhere else ? I cant find it.
