Right now my wiki is looking like it is fast approaching its upload capacity and if what I am looking at on my Recent Changes I have noticed a continuing trend where more than half of the space used is actually being wasted. Users, not knowing what their articles will look like, often re-crop their images after the initial upload to better fit our templates, especially if it is their first time creating articles, resulting in multiple versions/recrops of the same file with only one being actively used.
I would love for some sort of housecleaning function for a Wiki's filesystem. The ability to searched for duplicate/unused/orphaned files based on when said file was last accessed or length of file its been since last accessed. I really just want a better way to manage my filesystem and an easier way to clean out dupe/depreciated/replaced files as from my own estimates, at least a third of the 1,300 files on my wiki aren't actually being used and they are taking up valuable disk space with no easy way to clean them.
