I would suggest making Wikidot more social by allowing members to easily implement a Facebook Comments Box plug-in on their site (in order to generate more interaction with visitors).

Hi Taekwondo,
You can already achieve this with [[html]] tags.
Visit the Facebook website here to configure your comments module: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/comments/
Then paste it into your page like so:
~ Leiger - Wikidot Community Admin - Volunteer
Wikidot: Official Documentation | Wikidot Discord server | NEW: Wikiroo, made for Wikidot users (available early 2023)
I can remember - there was such wish /question on the community .
I am not sure if this will really work in that manner:

my test on http://try.wikidot.com/facebook-comment did not work…
Service is my success. My webtips:www.blender.org (Open source), Wikidot-Handbook.

Yes it was the same wish by the same person :)))
Rob Elliott - Strathpeffer, Scotland - Wikidot first line support & community admin team.
Didn't work when I tried to embed it with the regular [[html]] on our site.

Yes, please, that would get more people interested in using Wikidot !!
As they are used to the Facebook type look and feel, when posting anything.
- Not everyone is a Code Hacker ! ;-)
As a START OFF:
I would like to at least suggest a tool to make it easier posting contents - a work-alike to the Facebook counterpart.
If there are any images to link, it would really help to select one of the available one on the relevant page the posted LINK is pointing too.
- Perhaps even allow 1-3 (pictures to link), going even further than the relatively limited Facebook!
I'd be really interested in such a tool!
Helmut, what? I've been wanting to do this forever. I should check the wishes more often because I would have already tried what you did. Thanks.
I got it to work but there are a few problems with not having it fully integrated. This still needs to be supported to work properly. We don't want to have to install this separately on every page and most uses of the FB comments on other sites, that I have seen, do not say 'this comment has not yet been published'. Once you check off the 'post to Facebook' box, there should be no other action required. The way this is, it displays a message saying that the comment has not been published, you have to click publish, and then another box appears to post to facebook. Too many steps. the commenter has to do more work, and in my experience, a lot of people would not actually "post" the comment to facebook if given a choice, which is kind of half the point of having facebook comments.
