A method of showing which users are currently online would be great to have, and would match what many forum systems these days are capable of doing.
For example:
[[module ListUsers online="true"]]
%%title%% - last seen viewing [[[%%viewed%%]]].
[[/module]]
That could be made to output a list of currently-online users (that are members of the current site), and the last page or forum post that they opened (on the current site, or some other text if the last page was a different Wikidot site).
It seems unlikely, but I'm creating the wish anyway in order to give it at least a chance of being implemented. I'd love to see this!
see also old wish: http://feedback.wikidot.com/wish:635 (See if an user is online)
I created on a private business site some code with 2 autonumbrered categories: "onlin:" , "offline:":
and a little code at the start page:
(to create an online-entry you have to put in a charcter ( nonblank) into the page name and click on the new page button.. this creates a new (empty= üage - only holding the information.
This is an active setting me online ( not automarically)
the 2 categories used are autonumbered and has no "real" content - they are only placeholder for user-id, timestamp, and the _live _template has only a %%content%% :)
Service is my success. My webtips:www.blender.org (Open source), Wikidot-Handbook.
