Pagepaths are a cool idea, and I saw that the wish for a limit on the number of entries has been accepted, which is excellent because it's definitely needed. I hope you also choose to accept the wish to optionally remove the "create new" option from a pagepath, as it has garnered a fair number of votes, as well as the wish to allow data form access to the breadcrumbs from a pagepath. Both are sorely needed improvements. And with the implication of all three of the previous, the pagepath-style data form has the potential to be supremely useful.
However, I'm here to ask for a pagepath-style option that doesn't actually link to any pages. In essence, I wish there was an option for select forms that allowed for different possible additional options upon selection, but didn't need to be linked with pages. For instance, envision the following:
purchase:
label: What Would You Like to Buy?
type: select
values:
shirt: A Shirt
black: Black
s: Small
m: Medium
l: Large
xl: Extra-Large
red: Red
s: Small
m: Medium
l: Large
socks: A Pair of Socks
black: Black
s: Small
m: Medium
l: Large
white: White
s: Small
m: Medium
That's just one possible way of implementing the branching choices, and I'm honestly not sure why all my wish examples today are clothing-related, but hopefully you can see how something like this could be useful for easily obtaining branching data without necessarily needing to link to any particular pages or allowing users to be able to add additional options.
Hopefully I'm making enough sense! Thanks!
