I'd like to suggest that the existing flash-based multiple file uploader be replaced by a new HTML5-powered version which supports dragging files from the Desktop onto the browser window.
For anyone that does not know what I am referring to, try uploading files to a Gmail message or Google+ photo album. You can drag files directly from your computer onto the browser window, and they begin uploading immediately.
The "old uploader" could remain for any users that cannot use the new file uploader.
Benefits:
- Extreme ease-of-use for users
- Multiple file uploading for Linux
- Wikidot being seen as a company that embraces new technologies and web standards can only be a good thing. Even if this is not implemented yet due to standards not being fully decided, it should at least be seriously considered as a future feature.

Live demo:
This would be an amazing feature, but if they decide to implement this, the CSS needs to be completely editable. I wouldn't want to see a bad designed html 5 drag and drop. I hope it's full of classes and id's so it's easy to customize.
A great idea would be adding an infinite scroll option to our site's pagination, similar to how wikidot's activity is.

Made a wish for this myself
No use to make wishes, I guess. This whole wish is 8 years old, and nothing is done with it.
FLASH is gones after December 31st, 2020, so back to the single file upload option I am afraid
I got this mass-delete/upload tool working (http://community.wikidot.com/blog:wikidot-extension-mass-delete-tool-and-more/comments/show#post-4827147), so it will solve the bulk file uploader using Flash when it will stop working. Downside of this is you have to navigate away from the page you want to upload files to, so although it works great, it's still very user unfriendly…………………….
It still would be a great service if a bulk uploader based on HTML5 would be implemented, especially since Flash will definitely stop working on January 12, 2012 (see: https://www.neowin.net/news/adobe-flash-player-gets-its-last-update-as-support-ends-this-year).
This is what is said about Flash after December 31, 2020……………………..
"Today is the end of the line for Flash, as Adobe has released the last scheduled update for Adobe Flash Player today. As previously announced, Flash Player will be supported through the end of the year, on December 31, but not after that. What's more, Adobe itself will block Flash content from running in Flash Player after January 12, 2021, so you won't be able to use it at all."
As of today the FLASH-based multi-upload does not work anymore, the button will load, but will not respond anymore.
We now need to us single-file uploader again, or the wikidot extension. I really wish there was no need to switch to the sitesettings to upload more than one file to a page. It's very unproductive, although the extension itself is great.
