It would be great to move attachments to another page. (A feature Confluence has)

Attachments can already be moved between pages.

I don't remember not having that option. I rarely have used it, so it could have slipped in before the first time I tried it.
edit: I just checked and it's part of the (now ancient) open source version on my server at work, so it's been around for a long time.

It's been there forever. Or since the code was originally written, whichever is later.

You can include pages cross-site, which solves most of the problems. More advanced automated read/write access to sites and pages should be available via API, which is under development.
I do not think there is a real need to have cross-site copying option in the interface.

So sorry, but unless I have misunderstood, I have to disagree with you on this, Michal.
IMO, a cross-site include is appropriate for situations where you wish sites to share some "production/live" pages or code. In other words, functionality that is already tried and tested and useful across multiple sites. Whereas cross-site copying would enable you to clone selected live pages to a test site for further development and then copy them back when thoroughly tested, without affecting the live site in the mean time.
To be able to select one or more pages from a list, specify a destination site and click "go" would be a nice way to implement a cross-site copy, with a chance to replace existing pages, if so specified.
In contrast, performing "edit / select all / copy / switch window / create new page / paste / save" operations between my live and test sites, drives me nuts. Cloning is not currently an option, because it is not selective. Cross-site copy would help enormously, unless there's another way.
The lack of this feature makes developing and managing my Wikidot applications a very inefficient process.
I would love to see the _rejected tag removed from this wish and to see feedback from other Wikidot site builders. :-)

suef: You may already use the private categories, to test things. No need to cross-site anything.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I am using private categories now to test everything before I launch it. I used to copy and paste code to a separate test site instead.

Piotr, that's a great suggestion for content pages, but I don't think it works so well for site structure. I don't see how a private category helps with re-designing templates, menus and side bars, for example, without it affecting the live site. This is not a practical solution for me.
Sue
suef, sorry then. Sites are meant to have a level of separateness and files are exactly what we don't want to be movable easily between them. Given all the work of checking complicated permission model between the sites, it's not what we want to concentrate on now.
