Alternatively, maybe wikidot could fix it so the name of the site is inserted into the description. So that a discussion on my site would have the description like this:

"This is the discussion related to the Ground Up Strength page Overuse Injuries in Female Athletes."

Page title just an example of course!

As a workaround until this wish is/isnot implemented, you can hide the complete block containing this text by putting this into your css:

.forum-thread-box .description-block { display: none; }

If, however, you want to lose the text but retain the statistics on the right, the rss link etc then use:

.forum-thread-box .description-block { visibility:hidden; }
.forum-thread-box .description-block .statistics { visibility:visible; }

That's a good idea, Rob. Thanks for the suggestion. I remember I had considered hiding it a while back but I do like the description so that people will know they have come upon a page description rather than an independent thread (in those cases where they see the thread first). However, I might still consider hiding it for a while..I'm just not sure the word wiki is worth losing the explanation for.

Edit* Of course the big problem with hiding it is that I lose the description box completely throughout the forum and I do not wish to take away my users ability to put in a description. I just want the hidden page description to be changed to reflect the reality of my site..the the reality of how wikidot advertises its service.
