I'v found in Cache_manifest_in_HTML5 that .appcache is the proper extension for "text/cache-manifest" mime.
Do you have any different information for this ?

Hmm… I'm not sure. It's just that most tutorials for caching are using .manifest. But it doesn't matter what extension — just as long as we have a file that we can use to define the cache :)

We are adding .appcache for "text/cache-manifest" mime type.

Small edit in that… seems to be a .manifest in /etc/mime.types file for our server. So let it be .manifest and .appcache for "text/cache-manifest". It seems to be not standardized for good.
