Agreed. Users should still be identified as "anonymous" with this method, but using OpenID their name and e-mail address (and possibly logo) could be automatically picked up and shown alongside the forum post.
This should be available in the comments module (and therefore the forum).
Having it available for page creations and edits would also be extremely useful to me (for my page-based forum)… but is of course much more difficult for Wikidot to implement.

+1 to this I really really hope this gets implemented, imagine banning abusers while using open ID, No more abuse from them since they can't IP spoof anymore.
