This can already be done in your custom CSS using the @media print rule at the beginning of the CSS code, for example:

Hey I didn't know that. Thanks.
Doesn't seem to work.
Could you please link to your stylesheet, and a page that it is being applied to?

I'm rejecting this wish, because it already exists in two forms.
Form 1: .print-body Method
To control the output of the “Printer Friendly” generated pages, simply use any CSS within the .print-body class. For example, to hide the forum of this page in the printer friendly version:
[[module css]]
.print-body .comments-box {display: none;}
[[/module]]

Form 2: @media print Method
As Rob has already explained above, you can use the @media print method in the way he described.
However it should be noted that it only works on the printed copy (may not necessarily work on “Print Preview”, but it does work on the actually printed copy)
I'm sorry for asking something that was already implemented.
Nice to know that!
