Currently, page path is sorted by the page name.

Whilst this works well in most cases, for an auto-numbered category this means that lists are ordered based on when they were created, not based on the page title.

As the list gets longer (more and more pages are created in the category), the lack of alphabetical ordering by title will make existing list items hard to find and may even lead to duplicate items being created.

For example:

[occupation:1] Software Engineer
[occupation:2] Web Developer
[occupation:3] Soccer player
[occupation:4] Artist
[occupation:5] Football (AFL) player
[occupation:6] Football (NFL) player
[            ] Create new

These items are ordered by the page name, but ordering by the title would make more sense to users.
