what happens when two pages have the tag barack-obama?
A - S I M P L E - P L A N by ARTiZEN a startingpoint for simple wikidot solutions.
Lots of pages on the site are tagged with barack-obama. I'd like for all of the barack-obama tag links to go to tag:barack-obama rather than system:page-tags/tag/barack-obama#pages.

Why?

I use tags extensively for cross-referencing and to build content on certain pages. (See this page, for example.)

Well if wikidot would expand the listpages selector-item with "tag" @URL you could replace the [[module PagesByTag]]
with your cusomized listpages module… so youwould have controle over the layout from the result with code like this.
Now this does not work becaus there is no "s" behind the "tag". If the syntax would be system:page-tags/tagS/barack-obama this would work I assume.
I assume that the issue of not beeing able to controle the way the result is presented, is the reason for this wish, am I right?

The tag:* category gives me more control over the content of those pages than I could get if system:page-tags handled every tag. I put custom content on many of the tag:*, and use tagged-based options to turn certain pages on and off.
Now if I could replace the content of system:page-tags with module Redirect destination="tag:@URL", then I would be satisfied. Alas, doing that just always redirects to tag:url.

You can achieve this with live templates. In the _template page of each category you want these special tags, put the following code…
This will hide the default tags, and replace them at the bottom of the page with your own linked tags.
So now at the bottom of each page you will have something like this…
tags: barack-obama john-citizen jane-doe
And they will link to, for example, the page tag:barack-obama.

Already doing %%tags_linked|tags:%% in many of my categories. I put the CSS module in the include page that drives many of my categories, and it doesn't appear to be working. Doesn't change the fact that the link in the tag list at the bottom of the page, when it does appear, will still go to system:page-tags. Also doesn't help me fix the TagCloud module.
