As mentioned in this cheatsheet, the orientation of the [[tabview]] feature can be set to either "top", "right", "bottom" or "left" (see: "Key TabView Configuration Options").

I would like to be able to change the orientation of the tabs in the tabview. Even just top/bottom would be useful… but I can also think of a very good use for left/right orientation (ask if you'd like me to describe it).
Thanks,
Shane
In general, a little improvement in tabs could really help Wikidot users. The ultimate goal for me is to match the quality of Mint.com (http://www.mint.com/) or even Wikidot's home page (http://www.wikidot.com/). Some general ideas for improvements:
Above all, make it easy to create, like your broad list of CSS templates.
Just ideas, Thanks!

The first one is possible with CSS but is only a half-working solution, which is why I asked for this more permanent solution from Wikidot. The tabview already supports tabs on the top, left, right and bottom - Wikidot just needs to allow us to change that setting using wiki syntax.
The second two should be possible with CSS fairly easily. Depends what you want…
