The origin of this request is an anonymous user, here: http://www.kempies.org/thread:8 — I agree with them that this is a feature we need.
The 'file' field type in Data Forms allows us to upload files. Once a file has been uploaded, we are given a "reset" link to cancel uploading that particular file.
What is being requested here is a "cancel" or "reset" link that can be used when the file is still being uploaded, e.g. when only 50% of the file has been sent to the Wikidot servers and the user suddenly realises that they're uploading the wrong file, and wants to cancel it to upload the correct one instead.
Edit:
This is particularly useful when you are uploading a very large file, and decide that you wish to cancel it. The only workarounds at the moment are to wait for it to upload before cancelling it (wasting bandwidth and time) or to refresh the page (which loses any information entered into other form fields as well).
Like it, rate it up.

I'd like to bump this … is Wikidot able to accept this wish? Or is it still undecided?
Thanks,
Shane

Was looking for this the other day. Accidentally selected a very large file instead of the small image file that I intended to upload, and had to refresh the page in order to cancel it (losing the information that I entered into other fields on the data form).
So I'd still like to see it implemented ;-)
