3D tag cloud is created by external plugin independent from Wikidot, so we have no control about that. I'm sorry, but I need to reject this wish.
Could you provide information about who the plugin developers are, so that a request can be made to them instead for this feature?

Yeap. It's a wordpress plugin called WP-Cumulus, here is the website or the plugin and the author: http://www.roytanck.com/2008/03/15/wp-cumulus-released
A Wordpress plugin?
There is such thing as being evil, but that, my friend, is a special kind of evil =D

Looks like it requires some fiddling around with the source code Brunhilda:
I have Flash installed and can probably do this for you.
@Squark: If I recompile this with all character sets and upload it, is that enough to allow you to then implement that into Wikidot?
The only thing I'm thinking would be a problem is that the tag cloud would be significantly larger in file size will all of those character sets in there - so that might affect the loading time if they have to download the file in order to view the 3D tag cloud.

Well it does depend on what "significantly larger" actually will mean :) I believe we can do two sets of flash files, the current one and the expanded one. There can be an option in the tag cloud module that would trigger the full character table. Great idea leiger, thank you very much for that! :)
leiger: The usual plugin have 30 KB. If you could do a version that's less than 200 KB and has all interesting alphabets in them, I'd say it's OK :-).

I just compiled one (:
Please test: http://files.dg0.eu/local--files/file:4/tagcloud-extended.swf
Kenneth Tsang (@jxeeno)
The one with All Glyphs is just under 300kb (296kb).

Piotr, perhaps some extra coding on the Wikidot server could determine whether a 30kb tagcloud is used, or a character exhaustive 300kb tagcloud is used.
You know, detect whether a site uses foreign characters. If yes, use the larger file, if no, then use the smaller file.

I'll try to convince the team 300 kB is good. Due to caching browser should only load that once and for every other site on the whole Wikidot use the cached version. This is a gadget only as no-one uses Flash-based additions for vital elements of the site.

@tsangk: I think you meant http://files.dg0.eu/local—files/file:5/tagcloud.swf
I tried this version and it doesn't work in a way that tags are not clickable. Can you please check that again?

This one (http://files.dg0.eu/local--files/file:4/tagcloud-extended.swf) does the same thing.

We found out that was caused by something else. In newer version the SWF requires the links to be absolute (http://…) while Wikidot passed relative links (/system:page-tags/…). We're working on it.

tsangk: after fixing the server code, I took some random glyphs from your site as a tag of one my (testing) pages: 短片香港存檔 (I hope it just doesn't mean anything and is not offensive to anyone). In the tag cloud this appears as a bunch of rectangles thought. Cyrillic tag was working fine though. I'll try to compile the SWF myself later.
