Current format is "site name - page name" which is too wide to fit in the tabs of your browser.
Currently HTML titles are (for example):
Demon's Souls English Wiki: Armor Sets
Demon's Souls English Wiki: Shields
"Demon's Souls English Wiki" being the name of the wiki
"Armor Sets" being the name of the page within that wiki
This structure is "site name - page name", which results in only the site name being visible when tabs cut off the end of this information.
In that order, all windows or all tabs have the first words identical. In tab browsing, one rarely can read the last word(s).
the objective is to invert the order:
Armor Sets - Demon's Souls English Wiki
Shields - Demon's Souls English Wiki
I am here talking about the <TITLE> html tag within the <HEAD> part , not the wiki tag
Gmail has this as an option (to show the text "Inbox (42)" instead of the word "Gmail" and my email address first, and because it checks for new mail in the background, that's useful when I'm not looking at that tab.
So similarly, it'd be great if this was an option in the site manager - so that administrators can decide how they'd like the html page title to appear for that site.
Edit: Or instead of the site manager, in the "Edit Meta" options for any given page. That'd give more control by being able to define which pages and categories this applies to.

Yes, it's obviously connected with wish 328. Minimum necessary delivery is to change the layout to: PageName - SiteName, as truly (especially with long site names), page name is invisible. In Chrome e.g. tabs are cutting the site name and there is no window page title at all, so it's impossible to distingiush the page title looking at tabs.
So, I'm going to change the layout in the moment.
Marking as done.
Leiger I changed that first part of this wish description because only the first paragraph is visible in the list of wishes… so as it was… that made no sense.
You changed it back to having no sense in the list :-(

I don't know what are you talking about.
Never mind Squark, it about the way this wish is put on the site, not about the wish itself.
Leiger I changed it again but kept the original content. I hope you approve.

Ok, I get it.
