Hence a ListAttachments module could do this:
[[module ListAttachments sort="author" tag="+energy,-CO2" separate="true"]]
%%author%% - %%filetitle%% - %%pubdate%%
%%abstract%%
[[/module]]

Or just use the ListFiles module… :P

Assuming that when created_by is written, it includes created_by_linked, and the same for all other variables…
And… the next two I don't understand. Especially the filetitle one:

I am sorry Leiger you don't understand what I mean.
Take any document, for example a PDF. Look at document properties: you will have an author, a title, keywords and so on. All properties NOT linked to the guy who uploads the document to a wikidot site.
Example:
filename: rose.pdf
filetitle: The Name of the Rose
author: Umberto Eco (not Leiger ;-) )
abstract: "Historical whodunnit (murder mystery) set in an Italian monastery in the year 1327, an intellectual mystery combining semiotics in fiction, biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory."
pubdate: 1980 (not 15 Dec 2009 ;-) )

This is very close to a project we're making for a Wikidot customer, except the metadata would be describing photos, not attachments. Same problem.
I'll produce a design sketch for this later so it's clear what I'm talking about and how this solves the problem of file attachment metadata.

If a design sketch does not cover some functionality, we expand the design sketch, we don't fork it!
Anyhow, the correct model for meta data is to create a page form per attachment, and to use ListPages (when it handles form data) to process the data. I'm not interested in creating other data structures, it is pointless.
So the design here is (a) one attachment for a page (b) page form that holds necessary meta data and (c) ListPages that reports on that. Files, photos, etc.
I'm closing this weneed (which I like!) as it can be done in userspace, assuming other designs get properly built.

Hey, Pieter, you're the best forker I have ever known.
