I was going to respond to this weneed with “This already exists!”, but it seems to be broken at the moment.
I'd have suggested to use the “talk button”:
However, this appears to be broken! All it does is take you to the page talk:%%fullname%% rather than a forum discussion page.
Strange bug.
The Talk button is not for comments but for a wikipedia-style talk page. I've used that in a few projects and it works quite nicely, though I much prefer the Hammer pattern of per-page comments.
What is broken, precisely? We never made a Discuss button on the toolbar thouh I originally wanted to.

Seeing as the “buttons” of the Wiki Syntax replicate the buttons of the page options (edit will edit, tags will open tags, files will open files), I assumed that the “talk” button was the same as discuss button.
I know. The buttons are far from complete or consistent.
