This would be a great security improvement, and perhaps it could prevent spam users?
Waht is 2FA and where can I find it?

Two Factor Authentication
It is quite common for sites to use google or a similar service such as Authy to generate unique 6-digit codes which act as the second factor. These are apps you can install on your phone, and they generate a new code every 30 seconds or so making it almost impossible to access your account unless they know your login information, and have your phone and also know the passcode to that assuming you have one enabled.
Thanks for information, but this does not prevent us from the spam postings and > 180.000 spam-sites from REAL persons (with legal sign in data) we have deleted on wikidot since the spam-filter is working ( ~ 2014 ).
Could be this is helping us here against robots..

It is more for account security. It is not intended to limit spam or robots as Battlesquid may have implied. It is used so that, if a user should choose to enable it for their account, that account is more secure.
Enabling 2FA for an account would mean that two of three different forms of verification are needed. The three forms of verification are:
Something you know would be primarily your passcode, but if also used as the secondary factor can be something like mothers middle name, name of your first pet, etc.
Something you have is something like a phone, or a computer. This is where the 2FA app like Authy comes in. You would have to physically have the phone in order to gain access to the account, as you would have to verify yourself via the app when logging in.
Something you are is biometrics. Fingerprints, retinal scans, facial or voice recognition. This is only available for those who have a high security need.
Most sites that allow you to enable 2FA will allow you to stay logged in for 30 days, before automatically logging you out and requiring that you log in again using both factors. Others make you log in again with both factors every time (e.g. Banking websites). For example, on discord (a free gaming voice and group chat service) I have 2FA enabled. Every time I attempt to sign in, I must enter my username and passcode. After doing that, it takes me to a screen where I am required to open an app on my phone and enter the unique code that is generated. After doing that, it will fully log me in.
Thanks for explaining ! I understand now more the security wish… I haver the same on my company with a security token, or the security questions I have to answer when I change my password on another login screens.
