Quick off-topic question about YouTube: I recorded both this video and the video in my previous bug report using the exact same software and settings. And yet the first one is identified as being HD and this one is not. Any idea why? =S

HQ is defined by the following specs:
Screen Res. 480 x 360
Bitrate ~900 kbps
Audio 44.1KHz 96 kbps Mono CBR
Frame Rate 30
Video Codec Flash Sorenson
Audio Codec Mp3
Your video does have those specs.. however it takes Youtube time to process a higher quality video than standard quality. HQ now works (i.e. 480p) after Youtube reprocessed your video.

No, I meant 720p. If you look at the video on this page, it has a 720p option with the letters "HD" next to it. This one only goes up to 480p.
Immediately after uploading the first video all three options were shown: 360p, 480p, 720p HD.
Immediately after uploading this second video only these two appeared: 360p, 480p.
So I haven't witnessed the need for it to take some time and generate the larger one yet, because the first video had the one with the "720p HD" text immediately and I didn't have to wait for it to generate that. However if you think it is a matter of time then that's all I wanted to know… but based on this video not showing 720 yet I'm guessing that is not the correct answer?

Maybe the Video recording program you used changed its settings. Anyways, HD (720p) specs are found in Wikipedia. You can check the file you uploaded it see it it complies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube#Quality_and_codecs
Kenneth Tsang (@jxeeno)
Can you also ask you:
What program did you use to edit your videos? This may also be a factor….
Kenneth Tsang (@jxeeno)
I don't have any video editing software (if you have any suggestions for Windows software though, I'll gladly take a look at it).
The software I used to record the video is FastStone Capture. Before recording a video it asks if I want to add the title screen to the beginning, which is how that got there. The captions are added using YouTube after I upload it.

This is not true. %%created_by%% returns name of the user or Anonymous in case it's not user signed-in. Wikidot doesn't guarantee you can use this safely inside [[user ...]].

Okay, then would it be possible for me to request this as a feature instead?
The %%created_by_linked%% method shows the avatar, which I don't want as I'm already showing a larger version of the avatar manually.

hmmmmm, let's think. You can ask to support "Anonymous" as a valid user name for referencing to anonymous users in [[user ...]] syntax

I was hoping that it would just show up as static text, instead of a link, in the same way that %%created_by_linked%% works. But if it is not possible, then sure… :)

Yes, I would say the wish should say: let [[user Anonymous]] show just Anonymous string and not "no such user" error message.

I know whats different! Shane, the capture screen size isn't big enough to be rendered as 720p. Your other capture included the entire Chrome browser's window. This made the resolution high enough to have a 720p status :-)

Aha! :)

I'm moving this to wishes.

Instead of moving, I'm closing this one and opening a wish: Let [[user Anonymous]] work somehow.
