I can confirm that there is a bug, but to be more descriptive, it actually occurs in the case where the align syntax is directly followed with an include statement. This page showcases that, revealing that in the first case (where text follows the align statement) it works as expected.
Until this gets fixed, it may help having a single non-breaking space directly after the align statement (see code below). This at least works as a temporary workaround.

It's not the alignment, I can confirm it IS the "Include" statement - if you put (as an example) bold text between the two, the alignment corrects itself, but the bold double asterisks will now be revealed.
