documentation says
Create HTML blocks by using [
] … [
] tags. HTML block is a Code Block inserted in the IFRAME.
It is true, when we add HTML inside[
] … [
] tags wikidot creates new page with very long name on domain wdfiles.com and our main page get <iframe>.
Unfortunately, this makes many things very hard to implement.
1. For example, google+ button.
if I add
[
]
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script>
<g:plusone></g:plusone>
[
]
and user click on this button then my page will say
you just recommended mysite.wdfiles.com/local—html/start/d4421a6bdd0aa154d1331dcf3f6fc21a59d29c56-1502856751609180345/mysite.wikidot.com/
instead of
you just recommended mysite.wikidot.com/
2. Google adsense (async load), Yandex direct and other advertisers want to show ads right on the page, not on weird mysite.wdfiles.com/local—html/start/d4421a6bdd0aa154d1331dcf3f6fc21a59d29c56-1502856751609180345/mysite.wikidot.com/ because it is making all context advertising useless. Unfortunately wikidot only support sync google AdSence and doesn't support other advertising networks, like Yandex. It also doesn't support google asyc ads significantly slowing down web page load time.
3. I found myself in need to add just plain comments to the site, like "<!mycomment>" but it is went to wdfiles as well and nothing worked (please reply with personal messages)
4. there are so many cases when we need to use plain HTML while displaying tables, for example google dynamic tables or/and charts.
So my question is: why don't allow to use plain HTML without putting it into <iframe>? New tag?
Please?
I hope so.

I have an Ecwid shopping cart on a site that would benefit greatly from this. But it has always been rejected by the developers on security grounds, so don't hold your breath.

This example is not HTML5 valid, but we can add a valid alternative:
