Phil Chett discovered a strange issue with the watchers module on the Bootstrap Playground site and I was able to confirm it.

The watching status below the list of watchers does not always match the current user's preferences. In some cases it even displays "Stop watching…" when you're not logged in. These two links go to the same page (I changed the site's start page from "start" to "home" in site admin), but they show different watcher status:
