Why does the message have to apologize? Who does "we" refer to? I can envision characters from Tron riding around on their light cycles looking for lost images to hang in my gallery. :-)
If there must be an error message, how about "No images found." or "Gallery error: no images." or something similarly simple.
What would really be nice is if we could override the default message with a custom error message (and then each user could use whatever tone they want for the message) or turn it off completely. In most cases, I would prefer to have the Gallery module not display an error at all.
