I added the following IP block on the 17th and that IP address is still "Rule Breaking" my site. It has a threat rating on Project Honeypot of over 35 the last I checked. If you also notice in my block list I have a lot of IP addresses I need to be blocked and most of them still show up. Can you please fix this issue and possible go thru my blocked IP list and make sure that they are completely blocked from accessing my site? That whole list contains very harmful IP addresses that I don't need visiting my site (IconDeposit).
Here is an example of one of the harmfull IP's that is still accessing my site.
217.218.62.246

Thanks for letting me know. My sites spam is getting way to out of hand and Wikidot really needs to do something about this. I have bots like "suckers" and other bad malicious IP addresses viewing and joining my site, also posting things here and there that have nothing to do with design. I have tons of repeat comments by spam bots and malicious users. Something needs to be done here. Even with the recent hot linking fix people still steal my download files and then they put them on their bullshit fake design websites that are meant to take out sites like mine. Like I said something needs to be done about this issue. I need a firewall or something. I could care less if I have to pay for the firewall every month. Something just needs to be done. I've been waking up to spam users every morning since october of last year.

Are you alone as admin on your site? On the community the admin team fights as a team against spam.
Another issue; Your profile is so "private" - I cannot see any site of you… and check for some forum posts.
Could be this is a question for the community - to find a better weapon ( like delete postsor threads in "one click - one go")

I have Shane as another admin but I don't have a team to the point where I pay them. I'd gladly give someone an extra $100 every month tho if they take the spam and malicious IP's away from my site.
What do you mean by my profile is private? I made it to private a while ago because I get spam messages thru wikidot here and there, also sometimes get creepy people messaging me.
My site I'm talking about is "IconDeposit" - (icondeposit.wikidot.com - icondeposit.com) if that's what you meant. And if there is anything the Wikidot Community can do this would be fantastic and would really appreciate it.
You may not see that much spam on it now because I edit it every day. However, I just don't need to wake up every morning editing spam. Spam and spam users should not even enter a big site like Wikidot.

Yes that's definitely every website owners job. I just keep seeing the IP's showing up that I blocked. I wish wikidot could edit the htacces file for my site to deny from all the IP addresses I blocked. If I could worry about less spam it would let me design more free PSD files for people and continue posting on my site, lately tho all this spam I've been getting is overwhelming. Especially finding their IP address.

Dear Matt, IP Blocks does not prevent visitors from viewing your site. It only blocks comments and page edits. I believe that you may find "Rule Breakers" in your statistics, but they shouldn't be able do to harm to your site at all. Am I right?
That is a good way of handling it. You still get ad revenue from those visitors, but they cannot break anything.
Perhaps it could be clarified on the site manager page exactly how the IP blocks work, just so that all site owners fully understand the IP ban feature?

Hi Matt,
I know CloudFlare offers a way of blocking malicious IP addresses. It even recognises some of them automatically. Maybe take a look at them?

Thank you everyone for your responses. I'll revise my ip block list. I'm very big into security, so I'm just taking all the precautions I can.
Thanks again, and glad to know that Wikidot's system is good enought to block out the idiots :)

We will change the description in the Site Manager to make this feature more clear.
