It is 7 days and still I am not able to update the top-menu page in my site.

The error code I get is 500. What does this mean?. It is important that I update the top menu to reflect some important changes in the web-site. Due to this problem this update is pending for almost a week. I am facing no problem in updating any other page. I wonder why the top menu page alone is blocked like this? It saves my page as draft in a second, but when the changes are asked to be saved, after taking around 5 minutes it gives the error 500. Please do the needful.

I've checked this issue a week ago, I'm sorry I didn't reply. Scripts timed out while performing save action and i couldn't figured out why. In day or two our team will be in full (end of holiday period) and we will examine your problem again.

Thanks. Hope this issue will be resolved soon. Does this "time out" have anything to do with the total number of pages in the web site? Now my site has 22,270 plus pages. If all these pages are somehow processed when the top menu is updated - this depends on how your software works at wikidot server - there could be a time out? This is just my guess. If this is the case, then I need to seriously think about an upper limit on the number of pages in my site. I started with the basic idea that the number of wikidot-pages in any site can be unlimited, as mentioned in the manual describing wikidot features.
Please also give an advise on the maximum number of pages i can really have per site. May be 'unlimited' is just theoretical and there is a practical limit?

Hi,
we moved some of page processing to a background process and we were able to save your page. We are still working on the issue, because saving still takes too much time.

We have done some additional optimizations that should help saving nav elements on heavy sites. Hope this helps.

Yes, I edited the nav page twice and it is now saving properly though with some delay. I feel it is fine.
