That's an interesting bug. I'm surprised I haven't met it before, considering all the file work I do.

One of the first issues I learned 45 years before in data processing that a file name should never have a space in it.
Later MAC OS brought a strange solution which allows such nonsense.
and in the URL were some same strange solutions used ( like %20% for space) with multichatacter-solution to solve a blank ( or more) in the names…
Sorry, I had never that problem, because I never tried to name a file with blank.. in its name..
It costs a lot of programming code to handle such names.
it is easier to block or reject files with such erroring naming.
I found in our [http://community.wikidot.com/help:file ] this sentence:
( this is new for me … I never uploaded an image from wikipedia .( as an example)
That is one of the reasons why a user can get file names with blank in it..
ok, I know, this does not help now….

There's no correlation between space in file name and ability to rename files. It's only file type. If file has thumbnails (which means it's an image or PDF or similar) you can't rename it. Working on fixing it.

Images should be now rename-able as other files. Please confirm.

Seems to be working fine now. Thanks. I'm not doubting you, but I could have sworn that I renamed other images that did not have spaces and that worked previously. I must have been dreaming it…
Thanks again.
