I reported this bug years ago and it's bothering me again.
In the Site Manager panel, when it comes to CSS themes there are two options:
- Choose a built-in theme
- Or use an external theme
When using the ThemePreviewer module on a category using | |
---|---|
A Built-In Theme | An External Theme |
The theme replaces the page's theme | The theme overlaps the page's theme |
GOOD THING | BAD THING |
As the idea of the ThemePreviewer module is to “Showcase” any CSS theme, it makes sense that it replaces the current page's theme entirely.
However, if you have set your page category to utilise an external theme, then this breaks the ThemePreviewer Module's behaviour.
Using external themes on categories will make the ThemePreviewer overlap or combine the external theme with the theme being previewed.
Because this is difficult to explain in words, here is a live demonstration.
Bump!
Hmm, if this is the case then I agree that it is a bug that should be fixed.
However I don't - personally - use the ThemePreviewer module too often so it doesn't affect me quite so much.

I think fixing this may have broke something else. I cannot get the ThemePreviewer to work off of URLs anymore as I did on this page.
Furthermore, this means that themes.wikidot.com is broken. I'll institute a new bug report.
