Operation timed out when searching

For now, replace the code on your search:site page with the following:
It seems like it works, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

I can reproduce this when using the search term "test" on this feedback site, but the search term "testing" seems to work fine. There's definitely an issue, but it doesn't seem to occur every time, and might be linked to the search term in some way.

edit I have no problems with any search on the feedback or community site.
Could it be that this is also a connection/line problem?

Searches fail 50% of the time for Fancyclopedia 3. That, combined with the lack of development here, are reasons why we are porting to mediawiki, as we are concerned about platform failure.
I have built for the http://community.wikidot.com/ a search center iframe with an extra built custom google search machine - including only the main -sites on the community and Wikidot platform.
I made it on the community site:
http://community.wikidot.com/google-search ( iframed on the search center.!)
http://community.wikidot.com/search:start ( Search center )
I created on my google account a custom search engine ( named for me "wikidot.com" ) and included all the main sites from Wikidot platform ( not necessary if you have only one wiki )
After adding all the sites to be included I set the rest of the web to disable ,
the layout to one column,
created the javascript code to be inserted and inserted it on the google-search page.
That is all!

This has been going on for months now. Multiple bug reports. Nothing happening to fix it. Wikidot, as a service to you PAYING customers, you need to say whether or not you've just abandoned it and will no longer be developing so that people can migrate their sites. This is getting ridiculous.
They don't have to say it. Their silence speaks volumes.
Though it's possible that they're working really hard on fixing this bug in secret, unless they say something I'm working under the probable assumption that absolutely minimal (if any) work is being done to upkeep the site.

I think that is the correct assumption, Timothy. This is not just about the current search bug. It's been building for quite a while now.
